Last night, we carved our pumpkins (or drilled holes in them for the less creative and more lazy of us *cough*) so today I roasted the seeds! Hopefully, they turn out yummy because I posted my 'recipe' over in Recipes.
And now, I apologize for my lack of Charity Tuesday! My computer was down and then we spent all day running errands so I just never had a chance to get anything typed up. I'll slap my wrist for you.
I was really hoping for a little more response to my Charity Tuesday - You Pick but at least I got a response! So without further ado, here is your weekly charity showcase.
Charity Tuesday - Roadrunner Food Bank
This week, New Mexico's Roadrunner Food Bank was nominated to be our Tuesday spotlight charity.
RRFB was founded in 1980 by Reverend Titus Scholl when he started to serve food to those in need out of the trunk of his car. Since then, the RRFB has grown tremendously and now distributes over 26 million pounds of food to their various partner agencies and food banks. Through these places, the RRFB helps over 40,000 people get food every week.
Like every charity organization, the RRFB is always in search of help! You can donate your time, money, or food to help this great organization reach more people and help stop the hunger problems in New Mexico.
You can find the Roadrunner Food Bank online at their website or on your social networking sites.
